GSAR Instructor Course

Deadline Reminder – April 27th
The Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) Instructor course introduces the participants to the relevancy of standards, certification, duty of care, educational techniques, instructional methods, and assessment and evaluation strategies. The course also covers GSAR course administration, lesson plans, instructional materials and student evaluations.
Who: All SAR Groups in BC
Where: Prince George
When: May 23 – 25, 2008
The course hours are:
Friday 1900 – 2200hrs
Saturday 0800 – 2100hrs
Sunday 0800 – 1600hrs
Prerequisites: Participants must be a member of a SAR Group and have GSAR certification. If you are a member of a SAR Group that does not, at present, have a GSAR Instructor please contact Dennette.
Costs: There will be no course fees. Participants’ travel, accommodation, and meal expenses will be covered.
Registration: Please submit applications promptly. The Training Officer or President of the sponsoring SAR GROUP must sign applications.
