Rope Practice

The remainder of June will be spent doing high angle rope rescue work.

June 10th – Rope Rescue stations. Stations will include knots, anchors, belay, load, following fixed rope, ascending and descending ropes. Bottomless lake park in creekside access via Whistler road then left on Aspen Dr. 7pm start.

June 17th – Rope Rescue scenario high angle. Falcon Cres bluff. 7pm Start

June 24th – Rope Rescue / high angle advanced scenario.. .. 7pm start.

Rope rescue practice
Our practice tonight will be at Rainbow trail parking lot at 7pm. Refreshments will be served apres.

The practice will be our last official practice before breaking for summer.

WSAR will hold its annual HETS recert on
Hover entry/exit Tuesday June 3 6pm Blackcomb Helicopters
HETS Recert Saturday June 7 8-4:30 Whistler Heliport
Squamish SAR will hold its annual HETS recert on
1. HETS Recert Saturday, June 14 1700-1900 hrs Squamish Airport
2. Dryland, classroom TBA
To remain current, both days have to be attended.
IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
If you have any suggestions in regard to either of the recert events, please let me know.
